The Nelson Mandela Museum will be handing over electronic gadgets to the winners of the Human Rights Essay Competition in Gauteng. Annually, the museum hosts Human Rights Essay Competition featuring learners from nine provinces of South Africa.
The essay competition inspires learners to write an essay about existing heritage sites within their respective communities. The competition features grade 11 learners. The winners for this year’s Human Rights Essay Competition are from the Gauteng Province.
These winners will be afforded with an opportunity to embark on an Educational Legacy Historical Trail on the 30th of May until the 01st of June 2022. They will visit historical sites like Constitution Hill, Sharpeville Massacre Monument, Hector Peterson Monument, Nelson Mandela House Museum and Union Building.
With this background, this serves to invite you to form part of the ceremony of the official handover of the digital gadgets and certificates to the successful learners. The ceremony will take place on the 30th of May 2022 in Gauteng from 18h00 until 20h00. The venue to be confirmed.
